Come join the wineries, wine centers, and business members of the Canandaigua Wine Trail at their 3rd Annual “Plant Yourself in the Finger Lakes” Spring Garden Party on May 20, 2012 from Noon to 5:00 p.m. — rain or shine.

The Garden Party Spring Wine Event will be located on the grounds of Sonnenberg Gardens located at 151 Charlotte Street in Canandaigua.  We will be outside under our garden tent with tables and chairs for you to relax and listen to the music, or you can bring own your picnic chairs or picnic blanket to stretch out on the lawn.

There will be live music from Andy Hannon and Chris Eaton from 1:00 — 4:00, wine tastings from Arbor Hill Winery, Casa Larga Vineyards, Hazlitt’s Red Cat Cellars, Heron Hill Winery, Inspire Moore Winery, Wilhelmus Estate Winery, Finger Lakes Wine Center, New York Wine and Culinary Center, and Eagle Crest Vineyards, along with vendors of all types: cheese, chocolate, jewelry, local artwork, grape pies, and other local products.  Plus, enjoy informative rotating wine seminars with the winemakers Tim Moore (Inspire Moore Winery), John Brahm (Arbor Hill Winery), and Boud Kuenan (Wilhelmus Estate Winery).

The event is a one-hour walking tour of the vineyard followed by an in-vineyard gourmet cheese and wine tasting. During the tour, guests have the opportunity to learn more about grape-growing techniques used in the vineyard, such as canopy management and training systems. The tours will start 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm. Special guest this year, Carolyn Steffen from Goot Essa all-natural farmstead cheeses, will be leading part of the wine and cheese pairing. Visitors will enjoy panoramic views of Keuka Lake during the event.  Reservations can be made by calling the winery at 315-536-3147.

 

Step back in time and join us as we celebrate the rhubarb harvest season with rhubarb pies, rhubarb chili and other rhubarb treats, hots & hamburgers, live music, frozen wine slushies and wine!  Antique & classic cars of days gone by on display. Fee for food and wine.  Classic car owners can register their car for free, no judging.  Space is limited, pre-registration required.
